It’s Time to Have Your Lawn Sprinkler Fixed
When it comes to lawn sprinkler repair, most homeowners only deal with an issue once or twice a year. When you need to fix your sprinkler system, you have to be a little prepared for the job. But on the other hand, the problems you can encounter range from replacing your entire system to just repairing a few parts. Sprinkler problems may range from no water at all, a pause in the spraying, or just a few spray heads that are not working. Below are 3 common sprinkler repair issues that you can expect to come across.
Low Water Pressure
When you try to turn on your sprinkler system, you may notice it is not giving you the same pressure you got last season. This likely indicates that the water supply to your sprinkler system is low. If your system does not have enough pressure, it will have to work harder to turn on, and will not work for a long time. You can check your pressure with a pressure gauge. If your pressure is low, you will have to add more pressure to your system.
No Water at All
When you turn on your sprinkler system, you should be able to see water come out from the heads, and you should have the option to adjust the sprinkler heads. If you are not getting any water, check your system again. Make sure you have added water to your system and that the heads are all in the right place. If you do not, adjust the heads. If you still have no water, and you have checked all the parts, you may have a wiring problem. So double-check your wiring and make sure it is connected properly.
Water Stops at the Base of the Sprinkler Heads
When your lawn sprinkler system appears to be working, it can sometimes stop working. This occurs when the water supply to the sprinkler head is cut off. When your system appears to be working and the water stops, check the pipe that runs from the water main to your sprinkler system. You may have a leak in the system. Make sure you have tightened the clamps on each pipe.
